What a good lift service schedule includes

Most lift breakdowns are the result of wear that could have been caught earlier. A planned service schedule is the simplest way to keep a lift safe, comfortable and available.

What a visit should cover

  • Doors, door operators and safety edges
  • Ropes or belts, guide shoes and the drive
  • Controller, buttons, displays and alarm
  • Machine room or shaft, lighting and cleanliness

A good provider reports what was checked, what was replaced and what to watch, and explains any recommended work before it is done.

Ask for a written schedule, a response time for call-outs and a clear list of what is included.
